Title:   Statistical Challenges for Modeling and Simulation 



Abstract: We review the current state of statistical support for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) in support of clinical drug development.  While M&S has a strong mathematical modeling component, there are challenging statistical issues which need to be solved.   We discuss some progress towards these issues and what the impact could be in terms of the re-usability of statistical models which incorporate scientific "knowledge" (current beliefs and data-supported opinions) about biological, pharmacological, and clinical beliefs.
