[Statlist] Full professor position in Besancon, France

The Franche-Comté University is opening a positionat  the "Laboratoire
de Mathématiques de Besançon". The position is open in the research group
"Probabilités et Statistique" at a full professor level.

The applicants should have a PhD in Mathematics or Statistics andshow
evidenceof  strong researchrecords  in the domain of Applied Probability
and/or Statistics. Interactions with other disciplines or industrial
partners will be highly appreciated. The successful candidate is expected
to develop proposals to national or international research project calls
and to supervise or co-supervise PhD theses (including CIFRE theses
involving industrial partners).

Besides standard mathematics class at a bachelor level, the candidates
are expected to teach in the Statistics Master program
(Bio-statistics, Statistical learning, Time series, Financial
mathematics ...).

The successful candidate is expected to give a substantial contribution in
the pedagogical and administrative organization of the Master program.

The positionstarts  on September 1st, 2017. Deadline for
applications is approximately March 2017 and the hiring committee will
interview the candidates in May 2017.
