[Statlist] Summer school in Decisions and Theory for AI at Leiden University

Dear Colleagues,
Please find below the call for applications for the summer school in Decision and Theory for AI (DTAIL), at Leiden University.
The first edition of the DTAIL Summer School is targeted to Ph.D. students and researchers with an interest in theoretical AI and machine learning, and it will take place JULY 13-17, 2026, in Leiden (NL). 
The summer school will include lessons in the following 5 topics given by leading experts in the field: 
Privacy (Marco Avella-Medina, Columbia University)
Anytime valid hypothesis tests (Peter Grünewald, Leiden University and CWI Amsterdam)
Explainable AI (Tim van Erven, University of Amsterdam)
Reinforcement llearning beyond benchmarks (Claire Vernade, Nuremberg University)
Algorithmic statistics (Gergerly Neu, Barcelona University)

The deadline for applications is April 30th, 2026.
