        Modeling nonstationary spatial covariance

        Peter Guttorp, University of Washington and Lund University
        
Much recent research in spatial statistics has dealt with nonstationary 
models for spatial covariance. We describe the main approaches, and 
illustrate them in a variety of air quality examples. Extensions to 
space-time models are also discussed.
