The announcement is about the opening of two academic positions in 
statistics in the University of Liège (Belgium). The announcement is 
written both in English and in French (below).

Dear Colleagues,

The University of Liège (Belgium) invites applications for the two 
following full-time academic positions in statistics :

* Mathematical Statistics or Probability theory in the Department of 
Mathematics (Faculty of Sciences)

and

* Biostatistics in the Faculty of medecine

Both position will consist of a teaching load of maximum 250 hours 
(teaching done
mostly in French) and of the development of research in the 
corresponding domain.

More specifically,

For the position open in the mathematics department (see 
http://www.facsc.ulg.ac.be/cms/c_253096/fr/offres-d-emploi for the 
Moniteur extract), the applicant should hold a PhD in mathematics or in 
statistics and should have research expertise in one of the two fields 
(mathematical statistics or probability theory) proved by recent 
publications in
international peer-reviewed journals. Some experience in 
interdisciplinary collaboration in science might be considered as an 
additional asset. Deadline for application is 21 June 2013.

For the position open in the Faculty of Medecine (see attached file for 
the Moniteur extract),
the applicant should hold a PhD preferably in statistics or in 
biostatistics and should have research expertise in biostatistics proven 
by recent publications in
international peer-reviewed journals. Some experience in 
interdisciplinary collaboration in health science might be considered as 
an additional asset. Deadline for application is 17 June 2013.

L'Université de Liège (Belgique) annonce l'ouverture de deux postes 
académiques à temps plein dans le domaine de la statistique. Plus 
précisément, les domaines sont les suivants:

* Statistique mathématique ou théorie des probabilité (poste rattaché au 
Département de Mathématique de la Faculté des Sciences)

et

* Biostatistique (poste rattaché à la Faculté de Médecine)

Les deux postes académiques correspondent à une charge d'enseignement de

internationales avec comité de lecture). Toute expérience en matière de 
collaborations interdisciplinaires en sciences constitue un atout 
supplémentaire. La date limite pour le dépôt des candidature est le 21 
juin 2013.

Pour le poste vacant en Faculté de Médecine (voir, en attaché, l'appel 
au moniteur belge), le candidat doit être porteur d'un doctorat de 
préférence en statistique ou en biostatistique et doit pouvoir démontrer
