La Faculté de psychologie et des sciences de l'éducation de l'Université 
de Genève ouvre une inscription pour un poste de

professeur-e associé-e ou assistant-e avec prétitularisation 
conditionnelle en Statistique en sciences affectives et comportementales

CHARGE: Il s'agit d'un poste à charge complète comprenant des 
enseignements aux niveaux master et post-grade dans la Section de 
psychologie et le centre suisse en sciences affectives ainsi que la 
direction de travaux de maîtrise universitaire et de thèses de doctorat.

Le-la candidat-e sera appelé-e à développer des recherches au niveau 
national et international dans son domaine de spécialisation et à 
obtenir des financements extérieurs. Il-elle devra également assumer les 
tâches de gestion et d'organisation au niveau de la Section de 
psychologie et du centre suisse en sciences affectives.

TITRE ET EXPERIENCES EXIGES: Doctorat en psychologie ou en statistique, 
ou titre jugé équivalent. Expérience de recherche en statistique des 
séries temporelles, d'analyses temps-fréquence, et de la cohérence ou de 
la « Granger causalité » de ces séries, attestée par des publications 
scientifiques. Intérêt pour des collaborations interdisciplinaires en 
sciences affectives et en statistique. Expérience de direction de 
recherches et de l'enseignement universitaire. Publications dans des 
revues internationales.

Associate professor or tenure track assistant professor in Statistics in 
Affective and Behavioural Sciences, University of Geneva

JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a full time position. Duties include teaching 
at graduate and post-graduate levels in the section of Psychology, and 
in the SwissCenterfor Affective Sciences. Moreover, the successful 
candidate will supervise masters' and doctoral theses.

The successful candidate will develop a research program in Statistics 
in Affective and Behavioural Sciences at national and international 
levels and secure external funding.

The successful candidate will also participate in administrative duties 
at the level of the section of Psychology, the Faculty, the Swiss Center 
for Affective Sciences, and the University.

REQUIREMENTS:

PhD in psychology, in statistics or equivalent.

Experience in research in statistics, especially in time series, 
time-frequency analysis, in the estimation of the coherence and the 
"Granger causality" of these series with publication records on these 
subjects.

Strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration in affective sciences 
and in statistics.

Strong publication record in international top journals. Previous 
research in affective and behavioural sciences is an advantage but 
researchers interested in developping their research in this domain are 
also welcome to apply.

The working language is French. The successful candidate is expected to 
reach a working knowledge of French within a year after he/she is hired.

STARTING DATE: August 1st, 2014, or as agreed.
