We are looking for a mathematician/statistician (60%-100%) to join the Center for Clinical Epidemiology (CEPIC) in the Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine (IUMSP) from the University Hospital Lausanne (CHUV)



Job description: Main task will be methodological and statistical support to research projects by medical doctors and students from the CHUV. This includes elaboration of scientific questions, design of studies and experiments, data analysis and publication of scientific results, and may involve at times partly innovative methodological developments. A long-term participation to specific interdisciplinary projects is also expected, as well as interactions with other statisticians and methodologists working at the IUMSP.



Location: IUMSP, Biopôle 2, Route de la Corniche 10, 1010 Lausanne, Switzerland



Profile: Ideally, the candidate should hold a PhD in Mathematics, Biostatistics or related fields, with experience in applied statistics and statistical consultation, and an interest in interdisciplinary research. Experience in research in Statistics is not mandatory but is an advantage. The candidate should have a good command of English, although the working language will be in principle French.



Starting date: March 2014 or as soon as possible
